Color Picker: Ultimate Edition

Color Picker: Ultimate Edition allows users to select colors from their screen or create colors manually, view HEX, RGB and HSL values, and save colors in a local history and favorites list.

Data handled by the extension

The extension may process and store:

• A six-digit sRGB HEX value explicitly selected through the EyeDropper or created in the local color editor using HSV (hue, saturation and value), HEX, RGB or HSL controls
• Derived RGB and HSL values calculated locally
• Up to ten validated history colors and up to ten optional favorite colors
• Language, theme, preview-font and custom-color preferences

Local storage

The extension stores only confirmed HEX history and favorites, together with extension settings, on the user's device using the Chrome Storage API. Derived color values and unconfirmed manual-color drafts are transient. This information is not transmitted to Bitek, external servers or third parties.

Optional preview text is processed only in the currently open popup to render the preview. It is not stored, logged or transmitted.

Data collection and sharing

Color Picker:

• Does not collect personally identifiable information
• Does not track browsing history or visited URLs
• Does not use analytics or advertising trackers
• Does not sell or share user data
• Does not use data for advertising, profiling, creditworthiness or lending purposes
• Does not execute remotely hosted code

Permissions

The storage permission is used exclusively to save the user's color history, favorite colors and extension settings locally in Chrome.

User control

Users can remove saved colors from the extension interface. All locally stored extension data is removed when the extension is uninstalled.

Optional website links

The extension contains optional links to bitek.fr and Buy Me a Coffee. They open only after an explicit user action. The extension does not append or transmit selected colors, history, favorites, preview text or settings to those URLs.

External websites may process standard connection data under their own privacy policies.

Limited Use

The use of information received from Chrome APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
